Increased density in the downtown, both in commercial, institutional and residential uses is supported to achieve the vision of a strong, vibrant downtown that is the centre of business activity, the focus for cultural and recreational activities, a preferred housing option for a diverse residential community, and a quality destination for visitors to the city. The City's commitment to this vision has created numerous and diverse development and investment opportunities in Prince George's downtown core.
The Regional District has created the Prince George Area Industrial Land Profile with the intent of evaluating and prioritizing the best sites for potential development and helping to direct industry to the most suitable lands for a variety of heavy and light industrial activities.
