Port of Prince Rupert

The Port of Prince Rupert is 1,000 nautical miles and fifty hours closer to Asia than other west coast marine ports and Prince George is the port's closest rail and road access point. Prince Rupert is more than a day's sailing time closer to Asia than Vancouver and Seattle and nearly three days closer than LA / Long Beach.

The Port, strategically located directly on the Great Circle Route, and serving as the North American entry point of the North West Transportation Corridor, is a strong link between Asian and North American markets.

Port of Prince Rupert

The port has year-round, ice-free access to the deepest natural harbor in North America (with a berth depth of 18.7 metres) that can easily accommodate the largest container vessels. The current capacity of the port's Fairview Container Terminal is 500,000 TEUs, with plans for further expansion. Port facilities feed directly into a modern, uncongested rail and road network engineered and built to carry massive volumes of cargo with a high level of speed, efficiency and dependability to all points throughout North America.

With modern high-throughput terminals and the availability of vast industrial development property, Prince Rupert offers shippers and producers many competitive advantages in the international marketplace.
